We are sorry to say that Cllr Cartmell is planning to leave the Parish Council to make time for her many other commitments. We would like to thank her for her time on the council, and especially for all her work with the youth of Shepreth and with MAYD (Melbourn Area Youth Development) .
This means that we will soon a vacancy on the Parish Council – please think about whether you would like to join. Every local council benefits from having a mix of people drawn from various backgrounds. The most important attribute for a councillor is to care about your community and be willing to take an active role.

It is not a huge time commitment – you would need to try your best to attend monthly meetings (third Monday of the month at 7.30pm) and to get involved in any projects that interest you.
