Our multi-use games area is free to use for residents of Shepreth and the local area.
The court, located on Shepreth Recreation Ground, is designed for tennis, half-court basketball (with a net at one end) and full-court netball. The two netball posts are removable and stored in a container near the court so please get in touch in advance if you would like to use them.
The court has no floodlights so it can only be used in daylight hours. The facility is managed by Shepreth Parish Council and any questions relating to its use should be directed to: parish clerk»

You can use the court without a booking; however, please kindly give way if someone arrives who has booked a session. And please do take good care of the court – which includes not using bicycles, scooters, skates and skateboards, not playing football, and not wearing muddy or spiked/studded footwear.
If you are interested in setting up a tennis group/ladder or regular netball games, please let the parish clerk know.
The court, which opened in the autumn of 2024, was part funded by the Thalia WB Community Fund, under the Landfill Communities Fund, and Shepreth Parish Council, using ‘Section 106’ contributions from new housing in the village that were reserved for spending on sports and recreation. A community survey, run by the Parish Council, identified a tennis court as the number one sports and recreation priority among Shepreth residents. In designing the court, we took the opportunity to upgrade our basketball provision and introduce netball too.
